The work day can feel really long and tough when you’re in the first couple of days of your period. Not only are you in lots of pain, but you’re also worried about bleeding through clothes and not having enough tampons or pads with you. 1. Set up a tampon station in the bathroom
Whether it’s tampons in a jar or pads in a bag which hang off the back of the bathroom stall, make sure you get period supplies into the work bathrooms. Even better, if you you can get your work place to pay for them, then you’re saving money!
2. Stay Hydrated
Especially when you’re on your period, it’s really important to drink lots of fluids. Not only will this help with the cramps, but it’ll also help keep you from feeling bloated. Bring a water bottle with you to work and make sure you take regular breaks to drink from it.
3. Bring painkillers
If over the counter painkillers are available in the work place, then definitely bring them to your desk. Painkillers can really help with cramps and swelling when you’re on your period.
4. Make sure you have a break
If your period is really bothering you, make sure to take breaks more often than usual. Sitting at a desk all day when you’re in pain isn’t going to make the day go by any faster
5. Stock up on food and drinks
There’s nothing worse than feeling nauseous from your period and then having to go hungry because there’s no food in the office. Make sure you have healthy snacks and drinks at your desk, so you don’t get too hungry or too thirsty.

7. Take time for yourself
Sometimes our periods can really knock us down and make us feel sad, tired or stressed out. Make sure to take some time out for yourself when your period is at its worst . Whether that means taking a break from your computer to read a book or going for a walk around the block, make sure to do something that relaxes you.
8. Support other women too
If you’re having lots of pain because of your period, then it might seem like everyone else’s life is just fine. But remember, chances are other women are also going through a tough time because of their periods. So be supportive and understanding to your colleagues, and they’ll do the same for you.
